Belvoir Vale RDA hosted the ACPEA Physio’s Conference 2024


ACPEA host their annual conference at Belvoir Vale RDA on Sunday 6th October 2024

ACPEA were very pleased to be welcomed to Belvoir Vale RDA and make use of their fantastic facilities to host this year's conference (the first in person since Covid-19). The programme included physiotherapy specific training in this field, demonstrations of hippotherapy and RDA sessions working in partnership with Belvoir Vale RDA and an excellent afternoon session with Karen Thompson, Advanced RDA coach, about long reining and leading to help get the best quality movement from the equine to help within equine assisted therapy sessions.

The programme including some ACPEA members watch some physiotherapy-specific training in this field, demonstrations of hippotherapy, and RDA sessions working in partnership with Belvoir Vale RDA.

ACPEA have members from across the UK and further afield who specialise in working within Equine Activities, such as: 

  • Hippotherapy

  • Equine assisted therapy

  • RDA

  • National and International Classification for Para Dressage and Para Driving 

  • Horse rider physiotherapy, treatment of injury and rehabilitation

  • Horse and rider performance including working with the British Paralympic equestrian teams
